The project concerns the redevelopment of the tourist resort of Santa Caterina di Valfurva for the 2005 World Ski Championships, achieved through the construction of a new complex of ski lifts and the related accommodation structures connected to it: eight-seater gondola lift in three trunks and related stations, Vallalpe six-seater chairlift and related departure and arrival stations, new shelter in Vallalpe, ski stadium at the arrival of the new ‘Deborah Compagnoni’ track for world championship races, new ski slopes. The underlying theme of the entire project is the inclusion of the artefacts in the surrounding context with minimal environmental impact.
